By the decision of the EEC Council No. 35 of March 17, 2022, amendments were made to the decision of the EEC Council No. 107 on certain issues related to goods for personal use: From March 31, 2022 and until October 1, 2023, the limit of duty-free import of goods by individuals for personal use was increased to 1,000 euros. Starting from January 1, 2020, the Decision of the EEC Council No. 107 established the following uniform rates of duties and taxes on personal goods imported in excess of the established limits:

15% in excess of the cost

2 euros per kilogram in excess

If you have received a cargo via DHL Express, which contains goods for personal use, and they exceed the cost of 200 euros (per cargo) and/or weight 31 kg (per cargo), then you need to carry out customs clearance with payment of customs duties. You can use the services using DHL Express (our specialists will prepare, fill out all the documents and submit them to the customs authority, receive a "release", after which delivery will be carried out), or you can perform customs clearance yourself, for this you can open or download the instructions below:

Pay attention to filling in the line with the BIN of your tax authority. The provision of the BIN of the recipient's tax authority is mandatory. The list of tax authorities - SRA (State Revenue Administration) with their BIN are located at the links below

You need to specify the area of your registration (officially registered area of permanent residence, which can be checked in your personal account on the e–government website - egov.kz ) to find the SRA and its BIN by district.

2. A copy of the identity document on both sides (for non-residents - a copy of the recipient's passport, IIN registration certificate, visa)

4. Confirmation of payment of the contents of the cargo to the seller A copy or screenshot, an online banking statement of your card or a bank account statement showing your full name and the amount of payment for the goods to the seller (sample in the attachment). ( Samples can be viewed here: Kaspi Bank / Halyk Bank .  If the payment is made by a third party, it is additionally necessary to attach the payer's identity documents. In the Commitment, to state the reason for third-party payment. If the payer is a close relative, provide a document confirming the relationship.

Please do not pay the calculated amount yourself, wait for our employee's response. The invoice is sent after receiving the full set of documents (p. 1-4).

Be sure to specify your cargo number (DHL waybill number) in the subject of the letter, otherwise we will not be able to identify your shipment and the letter may remain unanswered.

In response, our employee will send you an invoice for payment or a request for additional documents, if necessary, within two working days.

Pay the bill online via the website ( instructions ). When paying online, the payment notification will automatically be sent to DHL and to your email address specified during authorization. DHL receives notifications automatically within a few minutes after the payment is made.
